Use the mouse (or your finger on touchscreen devices) to tap and select the tiles. Try to save them up for the later stages of the game, where the time-pressure is toughest. For each level you complete, you’ll earn an extra hint. If you get stuck, you have a limited number of hints to help you along. In addition, more unique tiles will be added to the board as you progress through the game, making it even harder to complete all the melds on time. You’ll also receive less time for melds in the later and more difficult levels. There are 12 levels, however, and the further you get, the less time you will have to spare. At the start of the game, you’ll have quite a lot of time, and creating melds will restore quite a generous portion of time as well. You’ll need to create melds quickly, before the time on the bar at the bottom of the screen runs out.

In some levels the tiles will remain stationary, but in others the tiles will slide up, down, or to the sides to fill the empty spaces. Matched tiles will vanish from the board. Those tiles can also be linked to create a ‘meld’. The only exception is when two identical tiles are directly next to one another. The line is also not allowed to pass through any other tiles but must go around them. The tiles can only be matched if the line that runs between them makes no more than two 90-degree (that is, right-angled) bends. Select one, and then find another tile with a matching image. Playable tiles are free on the right or left side and not covered, wholly or partially, by any other tile. How do you play MahJongCon?Ĭonnect the matching tiles to clear them from the board.
